Information and Communication Technology Section

The ICT section identifies, collects, stores, retrieves and processes information in support of the activities of the NICO.

It is highly important, and the Section keeps itself up-to-date with the latest techniques for information classification, storage and retrieval, so that it is always in a position to recommend changes or improvements which will lead to more efficient services.

The Section provides support for a great number of work stations and laptops with Microsoft Windows XP Professional, servers with Windows 2003 operating system, Sql 2005, applications such as, IP telephony, Video Conferencing Digital board and a number of Reuter’s workstations. The Section is responsible for providing hardware and software support to all computer users in the company.

The upgrade and overall support of NICO web page, SharePoint intranet, payroll system, trading (Contracts, Letters of Credit, Crude and Products Price Calculations, Invoices and Accounting Statements) and communication packages (mails, faxes and telexes) which facilitates the daily dialogues with NICO partners and clients are also part of the duties and responsibilities of ICT Section.
